November 2001 Tip of the Month: Board and Category
It is possible to set your preferred Category and
Board settings as a default. This command is very
useful for those users that have a favorite variant that
they play often. Once you have your category and board set, if
you type match or seek without category and board
listed, it will use your default. For example: for
default match and seek to be suicide, type:
set category suicide
For wild 1, type:
set category wild
set board 1
If you have a category set you will have to use
seek chess or
match <playername>chess
when you want to challenge a blitz, standard or lightning
game. To clear both board and category, use
set category.
To clear just the board, use set board.
