ADJUDICATION PROCEDURE, REGULAR CHESS (Standard, Blitz, Lightning)
------------------------------------------------------------------
To request an adjudication of a chess game, visit
http://www.freechess.org/adjudicate/
Please note that it takes one hour, from the time of the adjournment, until
the game is eligible for adjudication (and thereby visible on the web site).
ADJUDICATION PROCEDURE, VARIANTS
--------------------------------
To request an adjudication of a variant game, send a message to adjudicate
including:
1. The handles of both players (all four if it is a bughouse game).
2. The desired result (win, draw or abort).
3. The variant (crazyhouse, bughouse, wild, suicide, losers, atomic).
4. Any information that might help the adjudicators in their decision.
DISCONNECTION ABUSE
-------------------
Intentionally disconnecting from a game (in particular to avoid a loss) is
considered abuse, and may lead to sanctions.
We ask that you do NOT send us reports about your opponents disconnecting in
lost positions, as such information is of no use to us. We already have
information about who disconnected as well as information about the
position.
We use an automatic system to find users who made a habit of disconnecting
in lost positions, so there is no need for you to report users that you
suspect are doing this.
If you get a message with a warning about disconnecting in lost positions
you should deal with your stored games as soon as possible, to avoid the
risk of getting sanctioned.
Refusing to resume a stored game can also be considered disconnection abuse,
and may lead to sanctions.
The most common sanction for disconnection abuse is being placed on the
abuser list. A person that is on the abuser list will lose his/her games in
case of a disconnection.
SPECIAL NOTE
------------
The outcome of an adjudication is primarily based on position and clocks.
Who disconnected is rarely a decisive factor.
